I believe the issue is simply that they are having to use Skanska's satellite internet access to do the updates. The updates are being written by the EH crew who are all living either on site or are put up in accommodation nearby, so they're somewhat "unwired". To reiterate, I am not in any way affiliated with the project - I just have friends who are, so I'm only going on what they've told me.
