Yes, I think it's an unreasonable assumption on the grounds that neither of us is a structural engineer or a stone conservator with firsthand knowledge of the material (in this case a Stonehnege lintel) in question. In other words, always err on the side of safety.

Well again, we'll have to agree to differ. I'm sure EH would put an immediate stop to solstice access if they felt there was any threat to the structure of Stonehenge.
