Maybe it's me that's going off-track by using a year's worth of visitors instead of a "mere" 20000.

Because, of course, if 20000 people a year decided they wanted to climb the stones, no damage would be caused. ;)

No. Although, as you've said before, we're all on the same side, I disagree with you that it's not worth worrying about.
