81,000 new homes planned, and there's no jobs. Town councils, planners and developers will pocket the cash as estates get built on once protected land. It's a sad reality that a vast amount of these planned developements will turn into sink estates with all the related social and environmental problems. When referring to humanity en masse, and not the many decent and caring individuals, I often think Bill Hicks was right when he described us as 'a virus with shoes'.

No doubt there will be a Tesco superstores or similar planned to be built smack bang in the centre of major developments promising jobs for all and funding local projects, especially schools.
