Why not!!!!

I have recently researched a dam, held to date to the 17th century since that is the first written record - a tax bill. Turns out it's Roman. I personaly think this approach to dating is seriously flawed as it assumes that all records will survive.

I take it then that the next cleaning bill was found, giving an interval between cleaning, thus allowing the chronology to be established based on this theory?
