Aye, n' it's known that at this period in history the status of the tribe or leader was everything. Much more competition for land due to the declining climate at the time. Iron Age folk were very much into decorating their bodies, possessions and quite likely their homes too. So decoration of their hillside would be a very visible statement of identity and ownership.
