they only look good from the air,
from the ground they are messy and dissapointing.
I have 1,000's of slides from my days at kindred Spirit mag which I must bung onto ebay sometime.
Besides the Mowing devil woodcut there is no evidence that anyone was making cropcircles in the distant past.
Todays artists choose ancient sites like Avebury because it adds a mystickal quality to their artwork.
