No, shortly afterwards she legged it and I didn’t see her again ;-)

Really? I always thought it strange that other people weren’t interested – how can they not find the whole thing fascinating? I’ve got a great photo of a bedraggled and miserable ex stood in front of The Grey Mare in Dorset in the rain, her kids just look bemused as to why I dragged them all there. I knew the relationship was doomed from that moment on ;-)
Nigel’s comments above reflect much of the stuff about how I feel about these places – the enigma and mystery, the who’s the how’s and the why’s and a search for some kind of ‘answer’ that I’ll probably never find. I reckon it’s everybody else who doesn’t find it all amazing that are weird, not us!
