By the early '90s I was an over enthusiastic Cope fan, and it was after a conversation with him that I started taking more of an interest in megalithic places. I already knew about Avebury, and had notched up a few other show sites. Dad had indoctrinated me with Robert Graves' theories about the Big Momma, so Cope was the catalyst that got me off my arse and into the field. That's how it went.
