I can't rightly remember, but know it should have been a lot sooner - I have a lot of catching up to do!

I spent far too long hanging round with a group of "friends" that had little interest other than football, and getting shitfaced! One of them was an archaeologist - interesting chap, but had no get up and go, so mostly read about these places. I wanted more.

I started off visiting relatively local earthworks, such as Maiden Castle, Figsbury Ring and Danebury. All very nice, and incredibly interesting.

I broke free from these "friends", and spread my wings... that was when my interest really took off. It was about this time that we started going to Cornwall. As is well documented, you can't move for stones, chambered tombs, earthworks, holy wells... I didn't even know some of these things even existed, let alone in such abundance!

So, I have been *interested* for about 10-15 years, but only put it into practice in the last 5 or so...
