But he seems to indicate that the Beaker people were longer-lived and healthier, which would presumably mean that although there wasn't any kind of mass migration as such, their genes were more likely to be passed on.
If you scroll down to the bottom of Burl's article there is a Return to Contents button. Click on that and at the top of the page it says Bronze Age Life. Click on that and you get a few options, one being an article called Barrows, Burials and Blades of Bronze by Dr David Thomas which is an interesting read.
