Sounds very like the old "diffusionist" ideas that V Gordon Childe and others were keen on. Is there any evidence for agriculturalists coming from the East, or was it simply ideas that travelled?
Oh I think it was far more than just the ideas that travelled TSC. The Beaker Folk who spread far and wide were definitely here and wasn't it Childe who claimed they were 'war like' people which doesn't seem to ring true?
Not only was there the Neolithic incomers , the beaker incomers were of different haplogroups too .
