I like this kind of offering. It is one where you offer a part of yourself back to the land, with a promise to protect it, in return for help.

Hmmm.
I've enjoyed your posts, Branwen, but for the life of me, I don't understand why anyone has to leave ANY kind of offering. If YOU have that kind of faith, why should I have to tolerate it? Why can't I go to somewhere ancient and continuous like WKLB and enjoy it as for its absence of the modern world; its continuity and permanence despite all, rather than having to lug three-foot high wooden leopards out on to the grass and extinguish tealights left by someone who purports to inflict their "understanding" of these places rather than having the grace and humility to leave it as they found it? I'm sorry, but if I see it, it goes. I'm not bothered if its biodegradable or made from kryptonite. You have a faith and a belief. I deny your gods and revere the land.

Peace
