A few weeks back a friend and i visited the site of St Euny's Chapel and well in Cornwall and there were 2 trees just weighed down with ribbons, necklaces, bracelets, dolls, bits of paper, plastic toys etc. On some of the paper people had written wishes (like one who asked to be rich). Some of the stuff had been there for years as it was dated.

To be honest it was a bit disturbing and freaky - no good vibes there!!

I thought that in some places the idea was that you hung something on a branch that would degrade over time and as it degraded whatever troubles/pain you endured would disappear too?
