God no, I would never consider buying one of them not with a great big black projection sticking out the front, people would think I had some kind of a complex and was trying to compensate! But as it happens I am pretty well satisfied with my eyes, they are good enough to see all the artefacts I need to see.

I think you rather got the wrong end of the stick about when I said on PAS Forum that I had once accepted the polite invitation of a metal detecting group to go out with them and see what they do as I was writing an official report on metal detecting at the time.

And every time you try to bring this up on various forums in the same provocative manner I patiently tell you you've got the wrong end of the stick, but you persist in grasping the wrong end of the stick with both hands and swinging it around wildly at every opportunity you see....
