Eh? Surely not.
Leaving aside the Stonehenge Bluestones, the Rudston monolith is thought to come from Cayton Bay about 10 miles away - 16 km, and that weighs the best part of 30 tons.
I'll agree with the moving, erection and rebuilding of monuments was probably as important, if not more, than the finished result in some cases. The Sanctuary would seem to be a case in point.
