Same here ,that's why I thought the V rods pointing or indicating lunar sets or rises sounded dodgy . There are some tantalising clues in the "grammar " that are worth bearing in mind e..g the V rod is never found apart from the crescent but the cresecent is found without the V rod suggesting a the V is a modifying device .There is an hierarchy of symbols in relation to what is found above and below other symbols .The "mirror" is always (there may be an odd exception but can't think of one ) below other pairs of symbols is another .The mirror is possibly another modifying device but i'll let you work out what it does . It is the royal road to madness but at least there is a track unlike the the pathless wilderness of rock art .
