By the sounds of it maybe he should follow St Odhran's example. When Columba built his church on Iona St Odhran offered to go under the earth as a human sacrifice to help the new church flourish. Sounds like part of an old faith being adapted for a newer one. And as for St Bride her story does take some believing!
