Yep. I’ve been a Surveyor in my time. Brickies and Chippies and Plumbers think surveyors are idiots, and they’re right.
Archaeologists less predisposed to discount something simply because their mates say they should?… absolutely, it’s a jobsworth thing isn’t it. Lunacy isn’t good on the CV of an ambitious Senior Lecturer.
Mind you, if it’s a quick buck you need, and a best seller… Last night on Richard and Judy, a chap who says the Great Pyramid was a loudspeaker for earth-sounds. He showed a diagram of how it worked, which happened to be on the front cover of his new book…
