I've always had a problem with this one :-)

Read the Irish myths and you find nothing but war after war. The De Dannaan kicking the shit out of the Firbolg and vice versa. Finn McCool and the Finnian kicking seven shades out of ... well ... out of everyone, really. The Irish version of Irish history deals with 4 or 5 invasions, none of which has any real evidence in the archaeology. The only assumption is that it was brought from elsewhere. Brought by the Irish to Ireland, so their history before ending up in Ireland was a violent one.

Their love of peace truly is mythical ... in the "it's all a myth" kinda way :-)
