Otherwise, considering the outrageous cumulative number of visits made to stones by people on this website, you'd think at least one of them would have a spontaneous story to offer on the matter. ie not one that happened when they were with a group of dowsers looking for a positive result.
That seems like a very good point. Or are we all in denial?
Actually, most of the folklore appears to be the other way around, i.e. stones thrown by people, usually Giants, The Devil, "Jack", King Arthur, etc etc, rather than people thrown by stones.
William Wallace was supposed to have flung a massive boulder at Robert The Bruce at the Hill Of Barra Hillfort.
And David lobbed one at Goliath with good effect :-)
