te thanks, I am not sure what you mean by the old ways ( open to conjecture) and as for people in ancient times being happy to see offerings (what how and where, including what form) is again a massive presumption. To me (a personal perspective only) sacred and sacrifice are very very interlinked and as we have heard previously maybe it is important to leave behind our own egocentric opinions regarding how or what form (ritualised etc) offerings should take thereby avoiding tainting these sacred sites (a small sacrifice).Maybe (again a personal opinion) we should sacrifice our limited perspectives/beliefs on the altar of preservation l (by tending and caring for these sites ) thereby ensuring their sacredness for us all.
