Probably, but not for certain. Often wondered if there's a connection between the Sil of Silbury and the Sul of <i>Aquae Sulis</i> (and Salisbury, Solsbury etc). Started researching it a few years back but got sidetracked - pity, 'cause I wouldn't mind betting there's a sacred water connection with the fonts at Avebury and Winterbourne Monkton (and that's not just the stuff that goes in them). Anyway, folks like PeteG are more qualified than me to sort it out - would make an interesting new thread though :-)
