Re: Offerings at stones

Well, young Littlestone, perhaps I should have said "non-confrontational towards the different sensitivities of other stakeholders" rather than democratic.

("Stakeholders"! Terrible word. It just means people dammit.)

Anyway, a well-known dowser had a confrontation with a lady in a church recently. She said what he was doing was witchcraft and he shouldn't do it there. He said the church was just as much what HE thought it was, so what he was doing was perfectly appropriate as he saw it.

But if he'd done it outside or when she wasn't there neither would have felt imposed upon. If people left offerings a little way away or removed them when they left there'd be no conflict. So I reckon it's up to them to make the move towards peace, not me to make the effort to be tolerant.
