Removing their offerings beore they leave would detract from the sense of it being an offering, though, so I doubt it'll ever catch on. The folk at Swallowhead offered 24p in coppers (I can lend the Great Spirit a fiver till Thursday if it's that strapped for cash). But if they'd offered it then put it back in their pockets, it's not an offering, it's just giving your loose change an airing. They're not gonna do it.

I come back to the 'tidying everything including the offerings on arrival' approach. Good for you, good for the site and all who visit after you. Unless someone wanted to come back and see their 24p still in situ.
