Comparative religion is also a necessary analysis if we wanna get a grip with our old stones.

I thought that about every site until I read this yesterday, thought I was fairly well read in EM but had never heard of this guy. Now I'm wondering if at least some, prime candidate stone rows, or even just this one site were mainly scientific as opposed to religious structures of their day. I've not been to Carnac yet so can't provide a subjective viewpoint and haven't read up on it re finds, I just came across this article by chance.

However, I'm really impressed with his research and application, he was an engineer specialising in thermodynamics. He saw something different in the megalithic art there and made models and thoroughly tested them to prove his theory. He also has a different theory re the "votive offerings" explanation usually applied to unused axeheads. I know every theory is as valid as another but nevertheless he presents a fairly convincing argument.

I'd be interested to know what you think.
