Sorry to be repetitious but Avebury is one of the ancient sites handed to the National Trust by English Heritage in 1994. I believe that while the National Trust are responsible for looking after the sites, the guardianship and overall responsibility is retained by English Heritage.

So......it's probably also worth including EH in any campaigning work you do. They will probably deny any responsibility (in the bad times) and take any glory (in the good times).
