I would eat those in a heartbeat! Unhealthy or not it sounds good to me. No such thing as fish in chips here in California.

It exemplifies, more so than anything else, the English North-South divide; northern chips are fryed in fat, southern chips in oil...hey, that's just gonna have be the first line of my new song, Third Term Oil.

Which taste better ( I bet it's the ones fried in fat) ? You guys got the fish and chips but I bet your Mexican food is a bit crap, we've got that coming out our ears!
