Also, although i've grown wheat these times it's never been lodged by windthrow so I can't say anything about that swelling on the first node. This sort of stuff attracts strange people. We know that. Ultimately the only thing I would trust is to see a circle made before me. And that's never going to happen.

I've churned through hundreds of pictures of this phenomena and will still maintain there are huge identifiable differences between those human made and those genuine crop circles. I have no theories but remember an ancient TV programme named 'A For Andromeda'.

I've also noticed from pictures of a swirled soy bean crop where some of Goldsworthy's ideas have been coming from.
