Thing is in the 90s Gabrielle did a fairly passable pastiche of 60s Motown.
Bland as ye like but not contrived like Duffy is.

Hell even Jamiroquai's 'Stevie Wonder' take has more of a hint of reality about it (poor as it is). He's got 'clues' about what he's doing.

But this bloody silly woman singing a song called 'Warwick Avenue' for no reason other than to namecheck the sort if thing she couldn't aspire to if her life depended on.

Fair fucks to her, but it don't make it any good.

Sharlene Spitterii does the same, sort of.

Only maybe she's worse cos she's been around for sooo long yet still insists on churning out the same pap.

Duffy won't last that long, I'm sure of it.
