I remember from the "Masquerade " burial that there was a problem with punters digging up certain areas where they believed it to be .Even though the point is to designate the spot and not dig up the "X" it wouldn't stop anyone digging up a spot where they believed it to be , if they are wrong nothing is lost but the area within the map space could get potholed .
