Instinctively, I would agree - and it would be interesting to know what evidence there is for that.

James Hillman suggested the only rite of passage left for the American male youth was.......taking your driving test..... then nothing 'til the 'mid life crisis' - not looking forward to that one- and you have to do it on your own, apparently....
