Belatane is a fire festival yes, but I've gone back and checked a few sources and Imbolc was definately Brigid's festival... her association with cows and lactation would make sense too. I think the approach of spring rather than it's arrival was celebrated here. However you could well be right about the cattle drive between two fires as I've not managed to find another reference for that.
