Agreed. Empiricism is flawed in that the measuring device, whether a person or a system, or both, are still subjective to a varying degrees. I cannot prove that animal/totem spirits exist, yet I've seen them, felt them. Luckily I wouldn't impress them upon anyone else ;-)
One of the greatest discords felt in debating is the question of the 'altered state' experience vs the hard rationalism of reductionist science. Theyare forever at odds, I cannot see any way forward for this at present.
PS. The human mind does use all 100% of itself, not as is commonly quoted , only 10%. It's true because I saw it on Urban Myths programme on TV a few days ago.
