Thanks BG, this is what I'm getting at. I think the worst thing one can do it decide how it works then decide to prove it, in the end you just prove your theory wrong. Not that I'm saying it's not magnetism, just that the effect would indicate a more complex relationship than pure magnetics, and the claims of many dowsers include, like you have, features not related to magnetism.

I'd not heard a map before.

How about a wide spectrum general analysis instrument!
