Fetishism ? Loving the colour of magnetic tape ? Both fair play as you like it reasons. It doesn't bother me as its the final product/work that always counts.
However, I am having a great deal of trouble believing that it is completely analogue, particularly the ridiculous level of control over the sound/changes in just the guitar alone on 'in another way'. There are plenty of moments on the album that make me go.. totally analogue ? erm.. nope. Not that it is impossible for it to be truly as described, it just sounds very unlikely to me. Mind you I'm entirely digital, and my ears are trained as such when I listen to other peoples production. So it could be that my ears these days are as equally coloured as magnetic tape.
Edit : Oh, and I havent heard the vinyl version, yet. It does state that the vinyl version is the truly end to end analogue version. Who knows what else those sweet 24bit 96K Wavs went through.
