Not really. Other than a hanful of singles and first album tracks I didn't like The Teardrops all that much (sorry!) but I kept up with his releases because of his passionate enthusiasm for music other than the ABCs of punk and his completely unforced and natural feel for what it is to be a rock star at a time when that kind of thing could not have been less popular. There's not much in the 84-88 mainstream album releases that interest me. Love Charlotte Ann though. Wasn't until Peggy that I really felt that he had transcended his own self-mythology, his studio bands stopped sounding like sessioners and he really got that all-important guitar foil thing going on stage. Since then its been one lovin spoonful after another.

I am hoping to have Odin piped out of my gravestone for all eternity like the graveyard in Leningrad that has Shostakovich coming out of the ground.
