A lot of murderous regimes were also headed by unreasonable men who persisted in trying to adapt the world to themselves.

I respect your idealism, but in the context of the US elections I'm forced to confront their usefulness in terms of RIGHT NOW.

It's just mathematics... Obama needs a clear victory. As the electorate in the USA is split nearly down the middle, every vote is going to count.

You can live with your idealism intact no matter who wins, but I have to live in this country. I'm not going to see the damn Republicans tank the USA because I'm above voting for a tainted Democrat. The GOP has proven that they are a menace to everything the left stands for. The Dems are in bed with some sketchy types, but at least they share some ideals with us.

Better half a loaf of bread than none at all.
