No disrespect to the lovely Sea Cat, my view is that they are all man made.

Sign by a field of barley containing a crop circle next to WKLB

I was showing a Sri Lankan friend the wonders of the Avebury landscape a few weeks back and the crop circle turned up right on cue; we almost got trampled by a coach load of tourists making their way up there though.
