I consider they are a form of light, because they show the same charecteristics of light, straight lines.

But loads of things go in straight lines. Light isn't one of them.

Also where else could they come from except the sun?

Anywhere and everywhere, since they're not necessarily light, including your brain.

I really don't think you're going to come up with an "answer" by starting from a known "site" and working outwards, as that method doesn't exclude the possibility that your subconscious is willing you to find lines. Only if you follow what you feel to be a line and end up at an unknown "site" will you do that.
