Thanks for your apology.I was about to reply to your first comment but read through the others first.
I do not condone what Mike does but as long as he is causing no permanent damage who are we to tell him not to do it.I myself always cut the grass and reeds etc from around kists when I visit them,as they are scheduled monuments,does this meen I am causing damage?Another point to take on board is surley the worst damage to any of the sites was caused by the Antiquarians when they excavated them many years ago,Silbury Hill being a prime example.
