Yeah there's only about a half dozen a month these days (used to be dozens per month.) But I think part of that may just be the fact that all the "obvious unsung" albums have been reviewed at least once already.

Just checking the latest over there -- nice ones for Fiery Furnaces (one of my Top 5 current groups) and Saxon (hey I once reviewed a Nugent album, I get it!)

I only wish some of those Spanish ones were in English -- James Feraro is a very important current unsung under-the-radar artist.

(And don't see the point in reviewing new releases that aren't out yet and are sure to be reviewed widely, like Earth. But since that review is also in Spanish, I can't say whether it's appropriate or not . . . ?)

I think it makes sense to give at least 6 months of listening before reviewing anything, especially a new release. Though that's just me and I am not going to play Review Cop!
