Speaking of Robert Wyatt . . .
Nov 17, 2003, 05:52
There is a brand new Wyatt CD out with some old 70's BBC type recordings (forget the title exactly.) It also includes one brand new 2003 song called "The Verb" which I thought was pretty damn interesting.

His voice sounds cracked and fragile compared to the old days, but that actually makes it sound even better. Musically it's pretty minimal, just a wash of synth and his voice.

The lyrical message is hard to describe, but it's pretty deep: "all we need's a verb". Name checks the bible and Noam Chomsky too!

Worth checking out (I can't vouch for the rest of the CD though.)
