Hey Monk! I'm surprised you haven't discovered Marquee Moon up to now! Verlaine was always my biggest guitar hero... Also the title-track, "Guiding Light" and "Torn Curtain" has personal significance to me as does "Land" by Patti Smith. If you like Marquee Moon look also for Verlaine's third solo LP Words From The Front, which has yet to see release on CD as far as I know. I use most of the lyrics from "Days on the Mountain" as my evening invocation before my rest.
