Chile. They voted for a communist government. In response the CIA engineered a coup and installed Pinochet as a puppet dictator.

Arguably Venezuela and Bolivia are both doing very similar things.

Not only that, the CIA helped instal and fund military juntas in Brazil and Argentina, arguably setting back the democratic process in those countries by a good 20 years. If anything, the carnage that went on in the latter country under Galtieri was worse than Pinochet's.
