Sorry Mr t but your original, “Also the bath themselves were dedicated to Minerva ,a healing deity .” was both not very clear and also implied that the springs were dedicated to a goddess of healing. I am not the only one to have thought that. No one is disputing that the springs were dedicated to Minerva, nor that one of her manifestations was in the shape of a healing deity. The problem is the way you linked the two together.

I have no problem with ‘prolonging a discussion’ for the sake of clarity - that's what boards such as this are for :-)
