>I shall stick strictly to the archaeological evidence and I shall deliberately avoid the henges of Wessex.<
Why avoid the henges of Wessex?
>...the cursuses fell into dis-repair, the linear perspective moved to a circular world view.<
Whoa there, "...the cursuses fell into dis-repair..." To my knowledge we know next to nothing about cursuses let alone their function or when they fell into disrepair.
>...the linear perspective moved to a circular world view.<
Accepted (I think :-) so too the rest of your post with the exception of, "...henges were not places where domestic activities took place."
Where is your evidence for the hypothesis that all henges and circles throughout the British Isles (and not just those that have been excavated) were places where domestic activities did not take place?
