Yes, the riots started in the Parisian suburb that is the site of the cathedral the good Abbot renovated. Loie and I walked from the cathedral south about a mile to the train station one day, and the place is very foreign. Moroccan and Algerian mostly, we thought. Our trek was down a very lively main street that bore only a tenuous cultural relation to downtown Paris, that's for sure!
