Hi Tiompan,

Thank-you, I didn't know until I visited Newgrange where the quartz facing came from, it must have been a major task to quarry?, collect and transport it and no mean feat to retrieve the river washed pebbles that intersperse the quartz on the reconstructed frontage from the bend in the Boyne. There are some strange currents in the river there, on one visit, ( I'm lucky to have been there twice) as I stood on the bridge, the current was forming spirals which I thought was rather lovely.
