I don't always get Björk, but do generally like her albums. To me, she's a bit like Miles Davis. I generally accept that there's some serious thought going on even when I can barely find a tune in it. She is a maverick. Not always on track and consistent but she has ideas and tries them out - and I do applaud that.
I saw her with Sugarcubes at Reading (about 1992) and loved them - but was less impressed by a solo set (about 1997) at another festival. That said I was just confounded by the rhythms within rhythms at the time.
